One of the very few cosplays I did at Kitacon 3! Knight!Hungary from the comics where Prussia confirms she's a woman [by seeing her assets "awesome muscles" by accident!]. I loved this design when I saw it, and I really wanted to make it look wavering between feminine and masculine so I didn't add flowers to the cape but chose to use a pattered cloth that had subtle flower designs on it and did my make up more boyish/tanned--since she was running around in the sun all the time and acting like a boy still.
I based it on a mix of the original design for the manga [because in the anime the color scheme is just odd. Orange bloomers, what?!] and a fanart I loved which made her look all the more badass and battle-ready--with leather gauntlets and a leather belt as opposed to the gold bedazzled one she has in the comic.
It's not 100% done--I really need to remake the sleeves before I wear it again, but I love that cape and the pleating on the shirt, not to mention the BOOTS. I haven't seen a full shot that I've enjoyed, so sadly I can't show you the full costume yet.
Thank you to LittleGeeky who, with her amazing photo skills, captured this shot where I actually look a little decent!
Thank you so much for the lovely compliments! In terms of the profile picture... while I'm very flattered, I'm not really comfortable letting other people use my face for a character blog. I hope you understand!
Thank you...! ;//w//; I feel odd cosplaying girls sometimes, since I don't think my face is that feminine. But it's nice to know I pull Hungary off somewhat decently...!
You're welcome, dear! :3 Ah, I know what you mean, I somehow feel the same. Sems that I just can't work up the guts to make a girl cosplay, haha. Sooo~, I'll stick to the guys for the time being
Thank you. *LittleGeeky is amazing. I had so much fun at Kitacon with her and her friends. It seems like cosplayers in the UK have all sorts of connections with one another! It's odd when things like this happen, hm?
She is awesome isn't she haha! I guess because the community is relatively small it's easier to get to know each other, particularly in fandoms like Hetalia and such
and beautiful cosplay too!!
Do you mind me using this as my profile picture for roleplay?
